Lymph Drainage
When blood enters capillaries and infuses into the cells, the returning clear fluid is the lymph. Unlike blood with is pumped by the heart, lymph is not mobilized on its own. Musculo-skeletal movement normally mobilizes the lymph, ultimately sending it to the lymph nodes. Lymph fluid carries waste products from the cells. Then the lymph is not drained properly, the toxic byproducts of the cell metabolism remain in the system. The gentle wavelike motion of the lymph massage helps the lymph move to the lymph nodes smoothly, leaving the cells free of toxins.
Most effective for:
- Before and after surgery
- Lymph edema
- Poor circulation due to diabetes
- Cold hands and feet
- Toxic condition due to cancer
