Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient chinese healing art which is over 2000 years old. By stimulating the meridian points, it improves the immune defense, and health restoring capability. Quite often, meridian points correspond to nerve synapses. This shows that acupuncture enhances the nervous system. Acupuncture also increases the secretion of endorphins (neurotransmitter which induces euphoric feeling). During and after a treatment, quite often a patient will feel very tired and sleepy. The night of a treatment, the patient will fall into a deep and restful sleep. This is because all the energy is geared towards healing, and away from daily activities. This restful sleep is required for repairing and recovering tissue. The morning the patient will wake up feeling very refreshed and feeling much less pain and tension.
